John Carpenter’s The Thing is one of my all time favorite movies. Definitely my favorite horror film.
Recently Escape Pod played “The Things” written by Peter Watts, a short story from the point of view of the ‘monster.’ It is pretty darn great. It really hinges on knowing the film. Maybe you can get by with the original short story “Who Goes There?” by John W. Campbell Jr.. I don’t know I haven’t read it. But if you’ve seen the movie, I can’t recommend it highly enough.
The Thing is too my favorite horror movie; listened to this last night. Supremely cool. Also, shout out to that Tyler Stout print above.
